Juan A Manigault – Executive Director
Kimberly A Manigault - Event Planner

Juan began his tenure at Rivers Edge on July 1, 2016.  He brings over 25 years of executive leadership with not-for-profit organizations in Canada and the United States.  His previous positions include executive director of Teen Challenge Alberta, Project Manager with the New Life Centres Society in Calgary and serving as a pastoral assistant with the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church in Didsbury.  Kimberly serves as an event planner and uses her organizational skills and creative abilities to plan the Cowboy Country Christmas and other special events for the Camp.
He has a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame and a MSBA in Organizational Development from Indiana University.   She has a BA in Education from Souix Falls University and aMasters in Special Education from Indiana University.  Her exoerience includes teaching for 7 years and serving as editor for several magazines  published by Indigan Corporation.  Juan and Kimberly have been married for 37 years and have  three adult children.
Juan is a highly energetic leader and with God's help, looks forward to providing consistency, stability and sustainability to Rivers Edge.

Jesse Nickel - Program Director

Jesse started at Rivers Edge in the summer of 2006 and has been hooked on camp ministry even since! From 2009-2013 Jesse spent the fall, winter, and spring months studying kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge, and every summer he would return to Rivers Edge.
After graduating in 2013 with a B Sc. in Kinesiology Jesse flew to Nepal and climbed to the base camp of Mount Everest with his Dad. When he returned he asked Julie to marry him. Julie said yes and they were married at Rivers Edge Camp in August 2014. 

Jesse was promoted to the position of Program Director at RECA in the fall of 2014 and he and his beautiful wife live on-site year-round! Julie works as a teacher during the school months and serves with the Rivers Edge programming team in the summer!
​Janelle Conway - Program Coordinator
Janelle was introduced to Rivers Edge in the summer of 2011 as a horsemanship camper and fell in love with the camp environment. She returned the following year to attend the Leaders in Training program and camp has not been able to get rid of her since! She joined the full time staff team in the fall of 2016!

​After graduating Janelle attended a three month Ellerslie discipleship program to further her biblical knowledge for ministry. Janelle is our on site educator for plan to protect. Her job is to make sure that all of our staff, and campers stay safe!  Janelle has a passion for the next generation and hopes to take that passion abroad and pursue ministry in Africa.

​During her free time Janelle enjoys spending time with her family, music, journaling and a good cup of coffee!
Joy Jenson - Equine Coordinator
Erik Jenson - Chaplain

Erik and Joy and their family joined the Rivers Edge team in July of 2016. Joy brings over a decade of experience in the equine industry including certification as a therapeutic riding instructor through CanTRA (Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association). She is passionate about training the next generation of equestrians and disciples of Jesus Christ, and loves to see the positive impact horses can have on people spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Joy also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counselling. 

Erik has a variety of experiences in Christian ministry serving as a church planter, training church leaders, youth leader, Sunday school teacher and worship leader.  At Rivers Edge, he provides a variety of leadership activities including chapel ministries and worship services.  He loves  carpentry, the Green Bay Packers and a good cup of coffee.

Joy and Erik delight in spending time with eachother and their three children, Lukas, Josiah, and Anneke.

Jordan Parker - Building & Grounds Director
Naomi Parker - Social Media

Jordan has been working at River's Edge since June 2009. Jordan initially worked in the kitchen, but in 2012 he took off the apron and picked up a shovel! At about the same time he started dating Naomi (was Kirbyson), who had been volunteering at Rivers Edge for several years and was his long-time friend. In 2013, they were married and the two of them have been living and serving on-site since. Jordan now finds himself primarily in the site ministry at Rivers Edge, but every now and then he gets a chance to have some fun facilitating wall climbing and high ropes. Naomi looks after our social media platforms and helps out in the cafe from time-to-time. 
When he's not hard at work around the camp, Jordan is an avid hunter, trapper and
all-around outdoorsman. Naomi's hobbies including photography, styling hair and thrift-store shopping. 
Donna Greer - Food Services Manager

Donna has been in camp ministry since January 2008. She felt called to Rivers Edge Camp to run the kitchen in the spring of 2016. At camp Donna goes by "Mama D". Her husband John works in the Parts Department at the NAPA store in Sundre. On his time off he likes to be involved at the camp in any way that he can be useful.

They attend McDougal Chapel EMCC in Sundre, where John is an Elder.  They are both involved with the Youth Group and serve on the Missions Team.

Donna and John have been married since September 1971. They have 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Charity Eringa - Head Chef in Training 

Charity joined the Rivers Edge team in February 2016. She has over five years of experience in the kitchen. She started working alongside her mom at Capernwray Bible School in Australia and has since joined us here. Charity has a passion for hospitality, and finds joy in serving others.

After graduating, Charity set out to travel and go to bible school in Austria to further her faith, and study His word. She then traveled to Canada where she became connected with Rivers Edge. Charity is hoping to return to school in Australia to become a pastry chef.

Charity enjoys watercolour painting, writing letters to her family and loves baking.

Cheryle Newsome - Assistant Cook

Cheryle Newsome joined the Rivers Edge Team in April of 2015.  She serves as an assistant cook in our food services department.
Cheryle brings to our facility a wide variety of skill sets but more than anything she loves her time outside of the workplace, staying active with her artistic pursuits.  She can be found at local markets with her knitting projects, painting large canvases for local art show/sales, she is an avid writer, hosting writer's retreats and "Writing Memoir" workshops, and when away on holiday she loves to spend her days, avidly fly fishing rivers and streams around Southern Alberta.

Terry McKenna - Administrative Services Director

Terry has been working in accounting for the past 25 years. Starting at 18 as a full time filing clerk in the accounting Dept. for a large Seismic drilling  company in downtown Calgary, she worked her way up from there through experience and Training programs in different companies ultimately culminating in her attending SAIT for Oil & Gas Production Accounting.
In 2011 Terry came to Rivers Edge to help out in the Finance Department and never left. Discovering a love for camp has inspired Terry to go back to school and work towards a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a specialization in Non Profit Business Management.

Terry lives in Didsbury with her three lovely children Tyler, Kaitlyn & Isabelle.

Diane Numan - Guest Group Coordinator

Diane works in the office on the administration side of camp.  She has been at Rivers Edge since 2013.  She has filled several positions in the office and is currently the Guest Group Coordinator.   She is married to Art and has 3 adult children and 1 son-in-law.  

She is originally from Montreal and has moved more times than she can count…including 4 provinces and 3 countries.  Her work experience includes 30 years of various positions including Administrative/Office jobs, Daycare Owner, Special Needs Coach and Coordinator for Dining Hall-Special meals.

She loves going for long walks with Art and their dog, camping, scrapbooking and reading.

Hannah Stolle - Senior Housekeeper

Rivers Edge Camp has been apart of my life since I was a child.   I began by attending  school here, then youth group, followed by Camp and finally being apart of the ministry here in a working capacity.  

I have had the honour of working in the dishpit and kitchen, in programming, hosting and in housekeeping.  God has used these opportunities to grow me into the woman I am today!   I believe that no matter what capacity you serve in, Jesus can use it all, for it’s really all about Him.

In my spare time I like to go for runs, hang out with friends and watch my favorite television shows.

Jonathan Wiens - Housekeeper

Jonathan has been involved with River's Edge since January of 2017. He started as a part time volunteer doing site maintenance and assisting with the summer camp programs, filling roles from cabin leader to on site photographer. In whatever capacity he was needed, Jonathan was always eager and willing to serve.

In January 2018, Jonathan was hired as a permanent part time housekeeper and he looks forward to future opportunities to minister to others through his work with Rivers Edge.

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys building model rockets and photography. He is currently enrolled in a distance education photography course through Red Deer College which he hopes will lead to a future career in the field. He is especially interested in pursuing Landscape or Real Estate photography.
